Why does one person value themselves and surround themselves with people who treat them with respect, while another constantly doubts their self-worth, and those around them treat them accordingly?
High self-esteem is linked to our inner resilience, honesty with ourselves, the ability to be our own friend in both difficult and joyful moments, as well as having a mindful and supportive inner critic.
In this marathon, we’ll learn to rein in our inner critic, keep it on a short leash, and not let it destroy our self-esteem.
The problem is that most people who struggle with low self-esteem don’t even realize they’re constantly hearing that voice inside their heads: “You can’t do it,” “You’re asking for too much,” “What are you getting yourself into?”
They also don’t realize that being critical of those around them is a symptom of the inner critic sitting with its feet up on the table in your inner home, while your self-esteem quietly sweeps the floor with a broom.
Participating in the marathon will help you better understand the causes and find possible ways out of this situation.
During the marathon, participants will learn to recognize the voice of their inner critic, confront it, and stop it from influencing their daily choices.
The ability to stand up for yourself and your self-esteem in the face of your inner critic will help you become your own best friend.
